Modern Musical Christmas Card with Dashing Deer from Stampin’ Up!

Musical Dashing Deer Christmas Card using Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah Modern Musical Christmas Card with Dashing Deer from Stampin’ Up!

Modern Christmas Card with a Musical Feel using Dashing Deer from Stampin' Up!

Today’s card was a super quick one to put together… don’t you just love a simple, pretty card when your in a hurry? There are 2 stamp sets at work here; Dashing Deer (it is Dashing Deer week after all!) and the fun Sheet Music Background Stamp.

I’m loving some background details at the moment; this one involved making a mask by die cutting  a large circle in a sheet of copier paper, and then stamping through the hole with the Sheet Music and Berry Burst Ink.

Non-traditional Christmas Card using Dashing Deer from Stampin' Up!

In the interests of keeping things simple; this card was then completed with a stamped and die cut dear, simple sentiment and a trio of Glitter Enamel Dots.

I hope you’re enjoying a week of Dashing Deer ideas. This weeks Stampin’ Inspiration email will have a fun exclusive video tutorial also featuring this fabulous bundle! Do subscribe to see it

Make It Monday | Pretty Sparkly Christmas Card with Dashing Deer

Make it monday shimmery Dashing Deer Christmas Card using Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Pretty Sparkly Christmas Card with Dashing Deer

Make It Monday banner

Oh yes, I am back with a whole week of fabulous projects using the gorgeous Dashing Deer bundle from Stampin’ Up! I am in love with these stamps, particularly that pretty deer stamp that I’ve used on this card today.

The Dashing Deer bundle contains the Dashing Deer stamp set and Detailed Deer Thinlits dies, AND if you use the special bundle item code (see the links at the bottom of this post) you can save 10% over buying them separately! Awesome!

Fun and Shimmery Christmas Card using Dashing Deer from Stampin' Up!

Like I said, I have a whole week of Dashing Deer project ideas this week, including a fabulous video exclusively for my email subscribers too! You can subscribe to my Stampin’ Inspiration emails right HERE!

This card, for all it features the Dashing Deer bundle, really is all about that shimmery background! I grabbed a couple of pots of the new Stampin’ Up! Shimmer paints a few weeks ago, but only managed to get around to testing them out this past weekend. I have to say, I am totally in LOVE with them, and have another card that uses them later in the week.

Video Tutorial

The background is really easy to put together, for all it looks complicated. Once I had embossed the piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock using the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder, I used a sponge to gently add Shimmer Paint to the raised areas. I have to admit to being a little heavy handed with this…. but I like the sparkle, so Sorry, Not Sorry!

How to make a modern Christmas Card with sparkle using Dashing Deer from Stampin' Up!

This card is completed with that pretty stamped deer, a Vellum scalloped circle and a Gold heat embossed sentiment also from Dashing Deer.

Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for another Dashing Deer idea, and subscribe to my Stampin’ Inspiration emails for weekly card making inspiration, ideas and offers

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun sketch… I hope to see lots of you take part and add your creations to the Inspire.Create.Challenge Blog. You don’t need to blog to enter, you could upload your image to a gallery, Pinterest, or even Facebook (as long as the image is set to public of course).

Fun Christmas Card using Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

I decided to keep things simple this week, and just let the Designer Series Paper do all the talking. This fun print is from the Under the Mistletoe Paper pack, which you might have missed if your looking in the Autumn Winter catalogue because its in the Christmas section of the Annual one instead.

Quick and Easy Christmas Card using fun Patterned Paper from Stampin' Up!

The sentiment is in the Autumn Winter catalogue, its taken from Timeless Tidings, which I am getting heaps of use out of, although it is designed to go with the Timeless Tidings kit (which I still haven’t got round to making up yet!).

So, short and sweet today, do go and check out the other creations from the Design Team over at the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog… they have made some stunning projects this week.

Make It Monday | Quick and Simple with Rooted in Nature

Quick and Simply Just for You Card with a tree using Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Quick and Simple with Rooted in Nature

Make It Monday banner

I love a quick and simple card, one that you can whip up in a snap, one that looks good no matter what stamp set you use (as long as it a Stampin’ Up! set, obviously!), and one that you can use for a multitude of different occasions. I think that this card fits that bill.

I have been having loads of fun using the Nature’s Poem Suite this month, while it’s my fabulous Suite Share! You can still get your share HERE! My suite shares change every month and feature a fun mix of Designer Series Paper, Card stocks, ribbons and embellishments, and while the stamps and dies aren’t included as standard you can, of course, add them as an extra.

This card had a lovely colour combination; Blackberry Bliss, Gray Granite and Mossy Meadow, with a Whisper White base. Colours are super important when your making simple cards like this one, sticking to a handful of colours is an easy way of keeping things simple, coordinated and fresh.

We made 4 fun cards this week, and used a mountain  of goodies, and created on hell of a mess in my craft room! However, I LOVE doing these… so much that from next week I’ll be going Live each and every Sunday morning at 11AM.

How to make a fun wreath Birthday Card using Petal Palette from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The first 2 cards used the same design, but both show how you can completely change a card by changing which stamp set you use! The 1st Christmas card uses the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set, with the Birthday version features Petal Palette. Both use the Merry Christmas Thinlits and Joyeous Noel Glimmer Paper.

Inspire.Create.Challenge 028 | Abstract Impressions Friendship Card

Fabulously Modern Floral Friendship Card using Abstract Impressions from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 028 Abstract Impressions Friendship Card

Inspire.Create.Challenge 028 Stampin' Up! Colour Combination

I have to say I LOVE setting the challenges for Inspire.Create…. but even I thought this one was mean! However, the girls have made some GORGEOUS projects with what could be a tricky colour combination. Do check out the Inspire.Create blog to see all the Design Team creations and to enter your own!

How to create a fun floral Friend card using Stampin' Up! products

After several weeks of no crafting at all thanks to my Crafty Mojo disappearing, this colour combination was just what I needed to get me back into my craft room.

The background is embossed with one of my favourite embossing folders; Layered Leaves. This embossing folder makes for the most perfect background to floral cards, it’s subtle, and works in a whole heap of colours too! I LOVE it!

There's So Much to Love About You Card using Abstract Impressions from Stampin' Up!

The stamped flowers are stamped in Calypso Coral stamped over Crushed Curry, and finished with Pear Pizzazz leaves. To complete the card I added a trio of die cut flowers using the coordinating Springtime Impressions dies along with a trio of Rhinestones.

Inspire.Create.Challenge 027 | Celebrate (our 1st anniversary!!)

Inspire.Create.Challenge Theme challenge Celebrate Card using Frosted florals Designer Series paper from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 027 Celebrate (our 1st anniversary!!)

Inspire.Create.Challenge 027 Celebrate

Wow! I have just written the Challenge blog post before I’ve written this one… and I got SO excited! I cannot believe that it’s now been a year since I started this fabulous challenge. So, before I get into the main blog post, I just want to reach out and give you all big squishy hugs of Thanks for sticking with us, taking part, leaving comments and more! We have NO plans to stop…. in fact, I’ve just set the team all the challenges up until Christmas!

Inspire.Create.Challenge Stampin' Up! Challenge Blog Theme Challenge Celebrate Theme Floral Celebrate Card using Stampin' Up! products

In order to Celebrate I thought I would use my favourite Designer Series Paper from the new Autumn Winter Catalogue. I am in LOVE with this Frosted Florals Designer Series Paper, 1. its floral and watercolour… and 2. its SHIMMERY! It’s so pretty… saying that I have covered most of it with a piece of Vellum, but you can still see the paper, so I think that’s ok!

There actually isn’t any stamping on this card, rather the sentiment is die cut using the Celebrate You thinlits. I haven’t pulled these out for ages, which is a shame really because they are lovely!

Fun Floral Celebrate card using Frosted Florals from Stampin' Up!

This card is finished with a trio of Glitter Enamel Dots.

Do pop over to the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s fabulous Celebratory Creations!

Christmas Countdown | Stampin’ Blends at Christmas!

Joy to the World Christmas Card using Alcohol Markers and Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah Christmas Countdown Stampin’ Blends at Christmas!

Christmas Countdown Video Tutorial Series StampinByHannah Stampin' Up! UK

Oh my goodness… Yes! It’s that time of the year already! The Start of my Annual Christmas Countdown.

Over the next 12 weeks I have 12 fun Festive projects for you each and every Friday…. and I thought I would start with a simple Christmas Card

Fun Christmas Card using Stampin' Blends Alcohol markers and Feathers and Frost from Stampin' Up!

I had lots of fun making this card, with the little details; the background stamping, the Stampin’ Blends coloring and the pop of Heat Embossing.

Stampin’ Blends are so fun! You need to be a little careful with your Stamping ink choice when using Stampin’ Blends, but really it just comes to ensuring you stamp using a Water-based ink for the images you wish to colour. What is so great is that ALL Stampin’ Up! Classic Ink’s are Water-Based…. so you can use your Stampin’ Blends alongside your Stampin’ Inks! How cool!

There are now TONS of Stampin’ Blends colours available with even more being added in this years Autumn Winter catalogue. They are super easy to colour with and come in colour pairs for perfect Blending. I am planning some more Blends videos very soon…. I’ve got myself a little bit addicted!

Christmas Countdown Simple Christmas Card using Feathers and Frost from Stampin' Up!

I cannot wait to share the rest of this years Christmas Countdown with you….

Dad’s Birthday Card using Best Route from Stampin’ Up!

Fun Boys Birthday Card using Best Route Designer Series paper from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Dad’s Birthday Card using Best Route from Stampin’ Up!

Oh yes, today is my Dad’s birthday…. and because I gave him his card last night, I thought I would be really timely and share his card with you today. Men’s cards are always a little tricky, but I think we have the perfect Designer Series Paper Assistance this year; Best Route!

Simple Guys Birthday Card using Best Route from Stampin' Up!

I recently used the same paper on a card for my Brother-in-Law, isn’t it fun that we can create multiple difficult cards with the same products and they look totally different?! I love the colour combination in this paper; Blueberry Bushel, Mango Melody and Gray Granite…. and I’ve used the same colours in the card stock and stamping.

The sentiment is taken from Picture Perfect Birthday; I LOVE this set, it’s perfect for simple birthday cards, and therefore great for guys too!

Inside a guys card using Best Route from Stampin' Up!

As usual with family cards I HAD to pimp the inside with some more layers of Designer Series Paper and a hint of stamping too

International Blog Highlights | Congratulations with Frosted Florals

Pretty floral congratulations card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights using First Frost from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah International Blog Highlights | Congratulations with Frosted Florals

Kylies International Blog Highlight banner

Wow… these Blog Highlights come around quicker and quicker don’t they? This month’s theme is Congratulations! and I think we have the most perfect stamp set for Congratulations cards in the new Autumn Winter catalogue. First Frost has the most beautiful mixture of pretty florals and festive phrases, but there is also a Congratulations in there too….

Layered Watercolour Floral Card using First Frost from Stampin' Up!

This stamp set is part of my favourite suite in the new catalogue… I mean, it’s got watercolour effect flowers, and shimmery Designer Series Paper…. what’s not to love?!

I’ve not used the Designer Series Paper on this card, instead I’ve stuck with stamping and die cutting with the coordinating dies and created this fun layered card. I did however, use the Paper on THIS card from last weekend!

The first layer is some tone on tone, Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake Card Stock stamping, and then I’ve used Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo and Highland Heather for the die cut leaves and flowers

Floral Congratulations card using First Frost from Stampin' Up!

I almost added Rhinestones or Pearls…. but then I changed my mine and chose to keep things simple, finishing the card with the sentiment stamped in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla card stock.

Do check out the other Highlight projects over on Kylie’s Blog…. and Don’t forget to Vote for you favourites too!
