Pootlers Birthday Blog Hop | Balloon Adventure!

I am so excited to share with you all today, as regular readers of my blog (or visitors to my Facebook page) will know it was my Birthday this week! I get more excited about my birthday than I do about Christmas, probably because I have to work over Christmas but I always make sure to put Annual Leave in for my Birthday! back to work tomorrow, but before then I want to Celebrate my birthday all over again with the other fabulous ladies in the team with January Birthdays!

I have to say it felt very strange making myself a birthday card! However, I took advantage of the fact that I knew I was going to LOVE at least one of my birthday cards this year, as well as being able to guarantee that at least one of them was going to be hand made!

I am just loving using the new Balloon Adventures stamp and die bundle, but I haven’t used it as it was intended yet!

The largest die in the set is actually to create this great balloon pop up for the centre of your card! A great surprise when you open it! The stamp also coordinate with the Balloon Bouquet punch which I have used here for the solid balloons, while the stripy and dotty balloons are taken from the dies in the bundle.

Beautiful You | Wishing You Brighter Days to Come

Watercolour Sympathy Card Thinking of you using Beautiful You from Stampin' Up! UK

One of the things that made me shriek with excitement in the new Spring Summer catalogue is the fabulous Watercolour Pencils! I’m sure you all know by now how much I LOVE to watercolour, actually colouring in in general in my jam, but watercolour is my absolute favourite! The first thing that went into my shopping basket when I put my order in last month was for these great pencils, and I was not disappointed, they are awesome!

The pencils come in a pack of 13 great Stampin’ Up! colours, allowing for full coordination with all the other great products; inks, card stock and embellishments already available. I have everything crossed for some more colours to be added in June for the next Annual catalogue too! They are super easy to colour with, the pretty lady image on this card (from Beautiful You) is coloured with the watercolour pencils, Stampin’ Up! have made a great video to show us how they work…

Once I had coloured the image with my new set of Watercolour Pencils, I needed to find a suitably pretty background, and so grabbed for the Irresistibly Floral Speciality Designer Series Paper and a sponge roller. This paper comes as white sheets, but it has patterns already heat embossed onto it, all you have to do is add an ink colour of your choice and reveal the pattern. This paper works with a heap of colouring techniques, and I am sure I could have Watercoloured it, but the Sponge Rollers had just arrived in my crafty office, and I had to have a go. They are super easy actually, I think they will turn up in a video sooner rather than later!

I finished this card with some matts of Basic Grey and a bow in Bermuda Bay Thick Bakers Twine.

Beautiful You Online Card Class

Online Card Class using Beautiful You from Stampin' Up! UK

Yay! They are finally here! Online card classes from StampinByHannah!

I am so super excited to launch these classes today, and I have an awesome first class of 2017 too. I will be launching a 2 brand new class every month throughout 2017, with one launching on the 1st of the month, and the other on the 15th. Classes will be pre-order only and will ship to you about a week after class order closes, this gives me time to get your orders placed with Stampin’ Up! and all your materials cut and prepped. Each class will come with exclusive videos, as well as all the card stock, embellishments and any other bits and bobs you might need to make the 6 cards (2 of each of 3 designs) in each class.

Oh my goodness! It is finally here!

Global Design Project 068 | Nailed It!

Well Hello there! It has been so long since I took part in the Global Design Project. I LOVE doing this challenge every week, but the back end of last year was so crazy I haven’t had chance to join in for ages! However, that is going to change, one of my many New Years Resolutions this year is to take part in the GDP each week (made much easier by the fact that I don’t often have to work a Monday!)

This weeks challenge is to CASE the designer. I love this card by Jess Williams, and chose to use both the layout and the colour combination for my card.

I chose to use the awesome new stamp set, Nailed It, for this card. Guy cards are always tricky, but there are some really great options for guys in the new Spring Summer catalogue (which launches tomorrow!! So excited!). The hammers are both coloured using the great new Watercolour Pencils, LOVE them! I have been trying them out on a heap of different types of card stock and so far haven’t come across one that they don’t work on!

I have to say too I had such a drama getting this post up today. I got called into work on Sunday night to cover the night shift and so making this card was an interestingly sleepy experience yesterday afternoon, but then to make it even worse when I went to photograph it I discovered that my lighting set up has totally died! I have to use artificial lights to photograph my projects at this time of year, and so once I have finished writing up this post I’m off to find another lamp holder for my photography light bulb! I have to thank my lovely husband who stood holding my lights to allow me to take the photos for today’s post, and I really hope that I don’t have to call on his lamp holding services again too soon!

Welcome back! I am so glad to be back, have you missed me, I haven’t written a blog post or filmed a video for about 3 weeks, and I cannot wait to get back into the swing of things. I hope you had a great Christmas and a lovely New Year.

I haven’t had the past few weeks off completely though, I have been super busy packing catalogues, planning and crafting ready for the start of the Spring Summer catalogue and the start of Sale-a-bration on Wednesday! I cannot wait, this year is going to be AWESOME!

I always send goodies with catalogues, and this time around is no different, everyone got a super cute sticky note holder ready to mark up their shopping lists! These use the brand new Lift Me Up! bundle, and some Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper. Check out the video for all the instructions…

Birthday Card Club 2017!

StampinByHannah Birthday Card Club using Stampin' Up! UK products

I am so excited for the start of my Birthday Card Club 2017! This themed club lasts for 6 months, and gives you 24 great birthday cards for your family and friends – never be short of a birthday card when you need one!

Month 1 costs £45 and includes the fabulous Balloon Adventure stamp set, an Emerald Envy Ink Pad, a whole pack of Whisper White envelopes and a Fast Fuse PLUS you get to choose a great Sale-a-bration item too! as well as a card kit to make 4 Birthday cards with written instruction sheets.

Months 2-6 cost just £10 a month, each month you will receive a card kit of card stock, Designer Series Paper and embellishments to make 4 great cards.

Sign-up is open now, but I will not be collecting payments until 4th January 2017. You can join the club at any time in January, for club to start on the 1st February. The following 6 months club kits will ship mid-month, and you can add anything to your club order by dropping me a message before the 10th of each month

I will also be opening a Facebook group, to share more Balloon Adventure ideas and inspiration.

I cannot wait to get started!
