Hello!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I had a short blogging break over the weekend, but I am back and getting ready for the launch of the Spring/Summer catalogue next week! there are some really exciting things coming really soon.

I wanted to let you know that I have updated my blogging calender ready for the new year, and aim to post 2 cards and 2 3-d items a week, with a return of Fancy Fold Fridays, AND more video tutorials! yay!

So, without further ado, lets get to todays card!

Stampin' Up! UK Hello A Dozen Thoughts Pallion Potpourri

When I was planning for this week I thought I would set myself a challenge. So, I randomly selected four ink colours and two stamp sets with the aim of making a couple of cards for this weeks posts. This was the first card I made, using A Dozen Thoughts and Papillon Potpourri, with Gorgeous Grunge accents.

The ink colours I used were So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay.

I have to say, I love the look of this card, but the colours wouldn’t have been my first choice of colour combinations. However, I think it works! That is one of the great things about Stampin’ Up! the colours are all designed to work together. Oh, and that the inks match the cardstock because the card base here is So Saffron too!

To finish I added some Candy dots to either side of the Sentiment (punched out with the Modern label punch), and gave the largest butterfly some bling!

Save the Date

Ok, so we’re getting to that point in the year when all those Brides start looking for Wedding Stationary (If you are one of those Brides BTW check out this page!), and so as crafters we are often called upon to make invitations, save the dates, thank you cards etc. etc.

Stampin' Up! UK Save the Date Cheers to Love Butterflies

This lovely Save the Date card uses a sentiment from Cheers to Love (lovely for wedding cards!), and some of the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri.

The card base here is the Brushed Gold cardstock (Yum!) with a Whisper White piece. I first stamped the solid butterflies in Blushing Bride, before overstamping the detailed butterflies in Gold! The Sentiment is also stamped using the Gold Metallic Encore Ink.

The larger butterfly I stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White, in VersaMark, before embossing in Gold, and punching it out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. Both the Whisper White stamped piece, and the large butterfly are added to the card base with dimensionals for that layered look.

World Card Making Day 2014 – So Thankful for You!

Thank you continuing to read on, on this wonder World Card Making Day 2014!

This is my final card!

Stampin' Up! UK I Like You Elegant Butterfly

This simple card uses two punches (a bit like THIS card from earlier today!). First punch the Elegant Butterfly and then punch the Decorative Label around it!  I then added a stamped butterfly to the cardbase, and added the punched piece around it.

The sentiment is simply stamped from the I Like You hostess set underneath.

To receive one of the 12 cards I have made today, simply place an order HERE in the month of October

World Card Making Day 2014 – Thankful of Papillon!

Almost halfway through our 12 cards for World Card Making Day 2014 – this is card number 6!

thankful for papillon

This card uses a number of the stamps from Papillon Potpourri – a lovely collection of butterfly stamps – which coordinate beautifully with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches.

This card uses Rose red, Garden Green, and Wisteria Wonder, to stamp a flock (maybe?!) of butterflies. and then the Large flying butterfly has been punched with that Elegant Butterfly punch!

World Card Making Day 2014 – Blackberry Lace

This is the 5th card I’ve made for World Card Making Day 2014!

Stampin' Up! UK Blackberry Bliss Lovely Lace

Once again I’ve used the Lovely Lace embossing folder – this time on Vellum (man, I LOVE vellum! think its probably to do with making a whole heap of Wedding Invitations with it!)

This card is on Blackberry Bliss cardstock, and I’ve used Blackberry Bliss to stamp the sentiment from the I Like You Hostess Stamp Set! The butterfly is the Elegant Butterfly punch, this time with some Pearls added

World Card Making Day 2014 – Punched Papillon

Welcome to the 4th card I’ve made for World Card Making Day 2014!

Stampin' Up! UK Papillon Potpourri Label punch

I recent got the Elegant Butterfly punch (Yes, once again I’m late to the party!). One of the first things I do when I get new product is check out what other people have done with it, generally on Pinterest! This card is inspired by THIS one by Julie Davison.

I used the Elegant Butterfly Punch, and the Decorative Label out of Whisper White cardstock, and layered the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack behind. The card base is So Saffron, and the DSP is in So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, and Pool Party!

I love this card, its super cute! as as per usual my photos dont do it justice! more practice needed I’m sure!

Love the DSP! check out our latest Stampin’ Up! Joining offer – get a Pack of Paper every month of 6 months!
