Jar of Love card using Stampin' Up! Uk products

I shared a sneaky peak of this card on my Instagram account earlier in the week; I love sharing sneak peaks and other behind the scenes bits and bobs over on Instagram, you can find me over there as ‘StampinByHannah’.

Jar of Love card using Stampin' Up! Uk products

The flowers and sentiment are taken from Jar of Love. I love this stamp set, although I haven’t used the jars stamps all that much, I just love the flowers too much!

I have paired a couple of inks to create these flowers; Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry for the larger flowers, and Calypso Coral and Watermelon Wonder for the smaller ones. The leaves are in Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy

I’m trying to use ribbon on my cards at the moment, for things other than bows too. The burlap ribbon is just so pretty like this, I love cutting one edge off and allowing it to fray a little before sticking it down with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

Jar of Love | Bless your Heart

Jar of Love card using Stampin' Up! UK products

I am such a sucker for White Space, probably as usually there is no space in my house, craft room, or my head, so nice bit of White Space on a card feels lovely. I am almost positive this card is CASE’d from somewhere but I have no idea where from, probably something I have seen briefly as I scan Pinterest, but who knows!

Jar of Love card using Stampin' Up! UK products

This card uses the Jar of Love bundle, and would make a cute Birthday card or even congratulations too. The colour combination here is; Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy and Tip Top Taupe!

Short and sweet today, I’m off to a wedding this weekend, I cannot wait to share the card I made for the happy couple on Monday! yay!

Stampin' Up! UK Card Case Jar of Love

I have LOVED sharing these CASE cards with you this week. If you want to go back and look at the other 3 cards I have shared on my blog you can check them out; Sweet Cupcake, Garden In Bloom, and Sitting Here.

I couldn’t CASE the catalogue without sharing a card featuring the Jar of Love stamp set. This set is high up on my MUST HAVE list, and I will probably be using it again to CASE the front cover very soon!

Simple Card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up! UK

How cute is that goldfish?!

This card is a one layer card in the catalogue, but I have chosen to add my watercoloured layer onto a card base of Pool Party card stock – mainly because I am running a little short of Thick Whisper White card stock!

Jar of Love goldfish card using Stampin' Up! UK products

This card caught my eye because of the Goldfish, but once I started to make it I fell in LOVE with it, all because of that strip of Washi Tape – I mean, how often do we actually use our stash of Washi Tape on cards! well, here is one opportunity for you!

Jars of Dapper Denim

Jar of Love card using Stampin' Up! Uk products

I am loving the Jar of Love bundle in this years Annual Catalogue. It is just so awesome, a combination of pretty flowers, jars, fish, fireflies, and the dies that coordinate – don’t get me started! I shared a lovely card using this stamp set with my email subscribers last weekend, and thought I would share one with you guys today too.

Jar of Love card using Stampin' Up! Uk productsI made this card a few weeks ago when I was playing around with this set, I really wanted to use Jar of Love for the Pootlers Team Blog Hop in June and so I made a heap of samples, and this was one of the cards that didn’t make the hop. I still love it though

You Fill Me with Happiness Card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up!

The jar is stamped in Dapper Denim onto the card front, and then the flowers, leaves and fireflies are stamped and die cut. I love the dimension created when you add die cut pieces onto a card. I haven’t even added any with Diemensionals here yet they still give depth to the card.

Die Cutting Jar of Love Card using products from Stampin' Up! UKI do have to admit that this card was made before I noticed that the largest jar has two coordinating dies, one for the outside and one for the in. So I used my craft knife to cut a slit at the top and another underneath, to help with the illusion of the jar. I really struggled with the leaves stamped directly onto the jar, it just didn’t look right to me, but I am happy with my solution – but not as happy as when I noticed the  two dies!

Pootlers Blog Hop | Annual Catalogue Launch

Pootles Team Blog Hop Annual Catalogue Jar of Love Stampin' Up! UK

bog hop-001

Thank you so much for joining us for our Pootler’s Team Blog Hop! This time we are celebrating the launch of the 2016 Annual Catalogue. I’ve had a sneaky peak of everyone’s projects and I know that you are going to love them ALL! So, don’t forget to use the Next and Previous buttons at the end of this post to see more awesome projects using the new products!

Birthday card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up! UK

As demonstrator’s we have had this new catalogue in our hands now for 2 months, and when I first clapped eyes on the front cover I wanted the fabulous flowers on the front cover. Those flowers are from the Jar of Love stamp set (page 75) and I love them even more in real life than I did when I first saw the front cover!

Pootles Team Blog Hop Annual Catalogue Jar of Love Stampin' Up! UKThis card was really simple to put together, a little time consuming with all the die cutting, but well worth it! The flowers in the jar are super clever, they are one stamp, that stamps 2 flowers (well, 2 stamps I suppose as they are 2-step stamped) and then the die cuts them into two seperate flower pieces – Awesome! I actually think that I love the dies more than I love the stamps in this bundle – I mean that large jar has 2 dies; one for the outside edge and one of the middle!

Jar of Love Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! Uk Products

I do have a slight confession to make, the Smoky Slate Bakers Twine which I have used to create the bow has retired, usually I take everything on the retiring list off my shelves and out of my drawers before you can’t buy them any more, but somehow this piece of twine got missed – and I hadn’t realised it had gone until I had finished writing this post! Oops!

Anyway, I really hope that you enjoy the blog hop as much as I enjoy organising it! Don’t forget to ‘hop’ on to Anna’s blog to see her awesome project….

Global Design Project #040 | Jars of Watercolour

Thank You watercolour Card featuring Jar of Love from Stampin' Up! Uk

Hello! I cannot believe it has been weeks since I joined in over at the Global Design Project! I have missed it, this weeks challenge is to CASE the Designer. This type of challenge always makes me a little nervous as the girls and guys over at GDP are so super talented, but I’m giving it a go

GDP 040 - Case the Designer

I love the stamp set Shawn De Oliveira has used on this card, and I almost used it as well. But I was totally drawn to the layout of this card, with the offset panel. So I thought I would use that instead.

Thank You watercolour Card featuring Jar of Love from Stampin' Up! Uk

Jar of Love was one of the stamp sets I knew I HAD to have when I first looked at the catalogue, those jars are just so adorable! I was actually making a different card when this one sort of appeared as if from no-where (I’ll be sharing the other card here on Saturday!)

Jar of Love Thanks Card Stampin' Up! UK

That watercolour background was so easy to create; add ink to a large acrylic block and use an Aqua Painter to pick up the colour, and wash it onto the Watercolour Paper. I repeated it several times to get an intense wash of Flirty Flamingo.

I cant get enough of that pretty side panel either, stamped on Pool Party ink onto Pool Party card stock for a great tone on tone effect – similar to what Shawn had done with his card too!

Watercolour Thank you card featuring Stampin' Up! UK Jar of Love

I couldn’t use Jar of Love without using a jar could I?! so this one is stamped in Smoky Slate, with Pool Party ‘water’ and a bow of Flirty Flamingo. That ‘Thanks’ is in the same stamp set, is stamped in Smoky Slate too.

Thanks for checking out my blog today, hope you have a great day

Oh! Jar of Love How You Light Up My Life!

Quick and Easy card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up! UK

I am so sorry for the super corny title of this blog post, but I have been sat at my desk for about 10 minutes trying to think of something and that was the best I could do! I’m writing this first thing on Monday morning (for all you are reading this on Tuesday!) and its a strange week for me, I’m a lady of leisure this week as I finished my previous day job on Saturday, and don’t start the new one until next week. I am so excited for this new challenge! but instead of having an easy and relaxing week off I thought I would plan heaps of stuff for you instead! So, keep your eyes pealed for even more good stuff coming your way!

Quick and Easy card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up! UK

Right, time for the card! We made this card last week at my Catalogue Launch Party. We had a great time making this card, and those little fireflies – so cute!

I have been playing around with card sizes recently and this is 4 x 4″. We stamped on the card base first with Bermuda Bay ink on Bermuda Bay card stock, before using the Bermuda Bay to stamp the jar on a 3 3/4 x 3″ piece of Whisper White. The sentiment was hand cut, but that bow is die cut using the coordinating framelits.

I had been struggling to find colour combinations for Peekaboo Peach, I’m just not a orange girl! but I really enjoyed this combination of Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach, Smoky Slate and So Saffron. I would LOVE to see what you make with this colour combination! Let me see how this has inspired you by posting to my Facebook page, or emailing me a photo!
