Home for Christmas

Stampin' Up! UK Designer Series Paper Christmas Card

I thought this week I would give you a few ideas for your last minute Christmas cards.

Stampin' Up! UK Designer Series Paper Christmas Card

This card uses the fabulous Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper (that MAY still be available in the End of Year Sale!) Have I mentioned about the End of Year Sale – There are heaps of bargains on some wonderful products so please do check it out if you haven’t already!

The card is super simple actually, one piece of Designer Series Paper measuring 10 x 14.2 cm that I have sponged the edges of, with another strip of paper (10 x 2.5 cm) matted with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.

The sentiment is from Santa’s Gifts, stamped in Real Red ink. I think the circle is the 1 1/4″ circle punch, but I cant remember! oops!

On Stage Live | Team Gift

Stampin' Up! On Stage Live team gift

Hello!

As your reading this I am in Brussels at this years On Stage Live event with Stampin’ Up!®. I have been looking forward to this since last November! I love attending Stampin’ Up!® events, they really know how to throw a great party!

I am posting heaps of pictures of my travels on Instagram and Facebook, so pop over and take a look

Stampin' Up! UK On Stage Live swaps

I’ll be sharing my main swap tomorrow, but today I thought I’d share my little team gift. Us demonstrators love to share, and swap ideas and inspiration. I’ve made a few of these simple gift bags using the Gift Bag Punch Board for some of the girls in the same team as me (plus my wonderful upline Pootles!)

They just contain a few mint sweeties (all the excitement, we are going to NEED some extra sugar) and are super simple to put together, In actual fact I cut and scored these at home, ready for a bit of hotel room crafting on arrival in Brussels – don’t think these would travel well.

The bags themselves are all made from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper stack, and tied with a piece of Delightful Dijon (Gold!) Dotty Lace Trim. The tag is a piece of Whisper White cut to 2 x 3 1/2″ punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  The bag is the small sized gift bag, as the instructions on the Gift Bag Punch Board suggest, with Designer Series Paper cut to 6 x 10″ (15 x 25.5 cm)

I’ve pulled out my favourite Christmas stamp set again – Santa’s Gifts – and stamped Santa in Cherry Cobbler, with a Delightful Dijon present, and Soft Sky Star.

Santa’s Gifts …. lots of love….

Stampin' Up! UK Santa's gifts Christmas card

I’ve been loving making some fancy fold cards again recently, although I’m not totally sure what this style of card is called! I think my favourite Christmas stamp set this year is the lovely Santa’s gifts, the combination of cute Christmas images and really handy sentiments wins me every time!

Stampin' Up! UK Santa's gifts Christmas card

This fold is so easy to create. Take your A4 card stock and cut it in half on the short end. This will give you two long piece of card stock. Fold in half to create your card base, and then fold the front of the card back towards the folded edge.

The tree is stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla cut down to 2 3/4 x 2 3/4″ (6.5 x 6.5 cm) matted onto a piece of Garden Green. I’ve used my Stampin’ Write markers in  Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake, to colour the tree.

I don’t always decorate the insides of my cards (yes, I know, I’m really naughty!) but with this style of card, interior decoration is a must! The Designer Series Paper is take from Farmers Market, and coordinated perfectly with the Cherry Cobbler card base.

12 Weeks of Christmas | Mass Produced Christmas Card

Stampin' Up! UK Santa's gifts mass produced christmas card video tutorial

Stampin' Up! 12 weeks of Christmas

Welcome to the second Week of 12 Weeks of Christmas! I make all the Christmas cards that I send each year, which means making about 150 cards leading up to the Festive Season. Anyway of making that task easier is fine by me! Last year I made around 50 Christmas cards for my blog which were all received by family and friends, this year I am planning to sell more of these at Christmas fairs and events, and so need a few more cards!

I often use mass production techniques when I’m making multiples of a particular card, for customer Thank you’s or Wedding Stationary, and will do the same this year with my Christmas cards.

Stampin' Up! 12 Weeks of Christmas Santas gifts

This features a super cute Rudolph (that’s a reindeer!) from the Santa’s Gift stamp set. Before you go grabbing for your Autumn / Winter catalogue thinking you’ve missed something, this stamp set is taken from the Christmas section in the Annual Catalogue. I have added some colour to Rudolph using a Blender pen and Stampin’ Write Markers in Real Red and Cherry Cobbler.

Check out the video for the full mass production experience!

These cards are really easy to produce, and would make a great family project for a rainy Saturday afternoon. I’m a big believer in getting children crafting, get them winding the handle on the big shot, or colouring Rudolph’s scarf! They’re have great fun!

The cards are finished by added a dot of Fine Tip Glue to Rudolph’s nose, they would look so cute with some glitter added too!

Mass Production Top Tips:

  • Cut all your card stock first, this card uses 4 pieces of card stock – a Cherry Cobbler card base (half a piece of A4, scored at 10.5 cm), a Very Vanilla layer (14.2 x 10 cm), a Basic Grey matt (10.5 x 8.5 cm), and a Very Vanilla topper (10 x 8 cm)
  • Do each stage of the process in its entirety – Run all the Very Vanilla layers through the big shot, before stamping all the Rudolphs, colour all the scarfs etc.
  • Find your rhythm – fold and score, fold and score….
  • Do anything that requires drying time last! (like adding Fine Tip Glue to Rudolphs nose!)
  • Have Fun!

Christmas Countdown | Santa’s Gifts!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Countdown Santa's Gifts

Ok, so have you started on your Christmas cards yet? No?! well, don’t worry because this coming week I will be sending out a small mountain of Autumn/Winter Catalogues – let me know that you want one by adding your name to the list!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Countdown Santa's Gifts

This card however, uses a stamp set you can get your hands on right now! have you found the Christmas section of the Annual Catalogue, it is AWESOME! I love this cute Santa, carrying a present or a candy cane! This stamp set also features a sweet little Rudolph I just can’t wait to use!

I’m sorry if this video was a little odd. I did some editing on this one (unusual for me) and I was trying out a new editing programme, think I will be returning to my normal editing suite next week!

Stampin' Up! Santa's Gifts

I have coloured Santa in here using my Stampin’ Write markers in Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Smokey Slate, Basic Black and Garden Green. I don’t even attempt blending with my markers, instead I just add a bit of a darker colour to create some shadow – nice, simple colouring in!
